The Orchard Pest & Disease Management Conference is held each January in Portland, Oregon. The meeting is devoted exclusively to the arthropod and disease pests of orchard crops, including deciduous tree fruits and nuts. Presentations on arthropod pests and disease pests are in separate (concurrent) sessions.
While the majority of meeting attendees are from the western states, the meeting is national and international in scope. Most of the presentations are submitted from state and federal research and extension personnel, and from the ag chemical industry. Each year, one or more topics are highlighted by an invited keynote speaker. Talks are 10 minute oral presentations with 5 minutes for questions after each talk. Due to time constraints, and limited time slots, we ask that each speaker only submit one talk.
The meeting is entirely self-supported by registration fees. All registered attendees are welcome.
