The Orchard Pest & Disease Management Conference is held each January in Portland, Oregon. The meeting is devoted exclusively to the arthropod and disease pests of orchard crops, including deciduous tree fruits and nuts. Presentations on arthropod pests and disease pests are in separate (concurrent) sessions.
While the majority of meeting attendees are from the western states, the meeting is national and international in scope. Most of the presentations are submitted from state and federal research and extension personnel, and from the ag chemical industry. Each year, one or more topics are highlighted by an invited keynote speaker. A poster session is held during the meeting, and submitted presentations may be oral or poster. Due to time constraints, there are a limited number of talks for the arthropod session. If necessary, the Program Chairs will direct some submitted talks to the poster session based on content.
The meeting is entirely self-supported by registration fees. All registered attendees are welcome.
