Started in 2018 to recognize the the top quality presentation each year, the first Golden Apple was awarded to Briana Price, Oregon State University, for her presentation, Two Ways to Kill a Pest: Parasitism and Host-Feeding of Pachycrepoideus vindemmiae on Spotted-Wing Drosophila. Briana was nominated for her “engaging and eloquent presentation that showed video of parasitoids feeding”.
